Audio Tour
The Mount Rushmore Audio Tour: Living Memorial is a recorded guide at Mount Rushmore National Memorial incorporating narration, music, interviews, sound effects and historic recordings of Gutzon Borglum, Lincoln Borglum, American Indians and workers.
How Using a lightweight handheld wand, a visitor can listen to the self-guided tour while simply sitting down in a favorite spot, walking around the park or following the suggested route shown on the map provided to them. Headphones are available for the hearing impaired.
Time A visitor can listen to just a few stops or to the entire tour depending on time allotted. The entire tour runs approximately two hours.
Languages The tour and accompanying brochure and map are translated into Spanish, German and Lakota.
Rental Fee Individuals rent the tour for $5. Family rate is 2 adults/2 children younger than 17 at $15. Family rate 2 adults/3 children or more younger than 17 at $20.
